Bouygues Construction has been selected to build a 239-metre, 56-storey residential tower in Pattaya, Thailand, using digital logistics tools to manage tight site constraints.
The French contractor, working through its Thai subsidiary Bouygues-Thai, was appointed by developer Honour Thailand to design and build the ONCE Wongamat tower on Pattaya-Na Kluea Road in North Pattaya. Once complete, it will be among the tallest buildings in the country.
The development will provide more than 60,000 sq metres of floor space across 548 apartments, designed by Thai architectural firm D103i (Design 103 International).
Foundation work, carried out jointly by Bouygues-Thai and Siam Tone Co, began in February 2026 and is due for completion in August, involving rock coring to prepare the tower’s foundations. Construction of the superstructure will follow, with the low-carbon concrete build expected to take around 30 months.
Among the technical challenges facing engineers is a cantilevered swimming pool that extends beyond the footprint of the building. Bouygues Construction said the project also draws on its experience of constructing high-rise towers in seismic zones.
The site itself presents logistical difficulties, with construction activity prohibited after 6pm and traffic and material deliveries requiring careful management in central Pattaya. To address this, teams are using digital logistics tools to streamline deliveries within permitted operational windows and reduce congestion, in order to keep the project on schedule. Up to 700 people are expected to be working on site during peak periods.
