Global AI infrastructure investment is reshaping digital construction, data centre delivery, and large-scale build programmes worldwide.
NVIDIA and CoreWeave have announced an expanded strategic collaboration designed to accelerate the delivery of AI factories at unprecedented scale. The agreement supports CoreWeave’s ambition to build more than 5 gigawatts of AI factory capacity by 2030, responding to rising global demand for advanced compute infrastructure.
For the digital construction sector, the announcement highlights how AI-driven data centre development, power planning and accelerated computing infrastructure are becoming central to modern construction and industrial delivery models.
Investment driving AI infrastructure growth
As part of the expansion, NVIDIA has invested $2 billion in CoreWeave through the purchase of Class A common stock. This investment reflects NVIDIA’s confidence in CoreWeave’s cloud platform, which is purpose-built on NVIDIA accelerated computing infrastructure.
The funding strengthens CoreWeave’s ability to procure land, power capacity and shell construction at speed, addressing common constraints faced by large-scale data centre and AI factory developments. For construction professionals, this signals continued growth in demand for digitally enabled, power-intensive facilities.
Accelerating AI factory buildout
The collaboration focuses on delivering AI factories developed and operated by CoreWeave using NVIDIA’s accelerated computing platforms. Multiple generations of NVIDIA infrastructure will be deployed across CoreWeave’s environment, including the Rubin platform, Vera CPUs and BlueField storage systems.
In parallel, CoreWeave’s AI-native software, including SUNK and CoreWeave Mission Control, will be tested and validated to improve interoperability. The goal is to integrate these capabilities into NVIDIA reference architectures for cloud partners and enterprise customers, strengthening standardisation across AI infrastructure delivery.
Implications for digital construction and data centres
“AI is entering its next frontier and driving the largest infrastructure buildout in human history,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. He highlighted CoreWeave’s expertise in AI factory delivery and execution velocity as critical to meeting global demand.
Michael Intrator, co-founder and CEO of CoreWeave, emphasised the importance of integrated design, stating that AI succeeds when software, infrastructure and operations are developed together. He noted NVIDIA’s leadership across AI lifecycle phases and the role of Blackwell architecture in lowering inference costs.
The NVIDIA–CoreWeave collaboration reinforces how AI factory development is redefining digital construction, data centre design and infrastructure delivery, signalling sustained investment, standardisation and scale across global AI-enabled built environment projects.
