Building Information Modelling (BIM) specialists RIB Software today announced the conclusion of a Phase-II-contract with Acciona, as part of the Acciona Ferrovial Joint Venture (AFJV).
AFJV were recently awarded a contract worth AU$1.96 billion (c.£1bn) for delivery of the Sydney Metro West central tunnel project, a new underground rail line.
As part of the contract, Acciona will utilise an RIB digital environment for their unique project management requirements on the Sydney Metro build.
The infrastructure group will manage their processes through a customised RIB environment, where all participants will have unlimited access to RIB’s Publication Space, Correspondence, and Quality modules for project documentation and related workflows.
This is the second Phase-II-contract agreed between Acciona and RIB Software SE in 2021, with Acciona Geotech also agreeing to a contract extension for delivery of RIB solutions during July of this year.
Christine Reilly, CEO of RIB International: “As a company, we’re gratified to receive this vote of confidence from ACCIONA as they provide their specialist contribution on Australia’s largest public transport project.
“We are confident that ACCIONA will achieve their ambitious goals with the help of our leading software, and our team is dedicated to maintaining the highest possible service standard across the duration of the agreement.”
