Canadian engineering giant WSP has appointed former Aecom director Dale Sinclair to grow the innovation division of its property and buildings business.

Dale was at Aecom for 8 years following a 10 year stint at architect Dyer and before that, 16 years as associate director of the Building Design Partnership.

He holds a Masters in Architecture from Glasgow School of Art and has been leading work on Aecom’s Moorfields Eye Hospital scheme in Camden.

Sinclair also chairs industry groups at the Construction Leadership Council and British Standards Institute.

Kamran Moazami, WSP’s managing director of its property and buildings business, said: “Dale’s creativity and invaluable experience will strengthen WSP’s intention to offer our clients the best holistic engineering solution in the UK, adding value through design optimisation, construction de-risking and speed of delivery.

“Through his work we will be able to deliver a total solution, from masterplanning to the construction of major projects, and drive forward our MMC and net zero goals as a cornerstone of our design excellence.”
