Barbour ABI has launched a new aggregated data analytics solution aimed at helping businesses in the construction sector to make strategic decisions about the future.
For the first time, the company has brought together what it says is a vast pool of expert curated planning and contracts data from across the construction industry. As such, Barbour ABI claims it provides the tools for businesses to build complete data maps of their environments.
The data set is said to cover everything from infrastructure projects and housing developments to new office developments and leisure facilities. This allows business to access insights entirely tailored to their needs.
Key features include sector and regional project pipeline analysis and comprehensive competitor activity tracking – including where they are winning work, their existing pipelines and available capacity.
According to Barbour ABI, the goal is to help business leaders build more competitive strategies and increase profitability through more efficient and targeted tendering processes.

The data that powers the new system is provided by what is claimed to be the UK’s largest team of construction researchers and experts, performing over 100,000 hours of research every year.
