East Midlands-based civil and structural engineering firm BSP Consulting has announced two significant senior team appointments as part of its ongoing growth and development strategy. The company has welcomed Jo Posnett back as Associate Director and promoted Oliver McElroy to the role of Associate.

Jo Posnett re-joins BSP Consulting after previously dedicating 19 years to the company’s transport department, where she built an impressive track record in transport planning and civil engineering. Her return marks an exciting new chapter for the business as she steps into her role as Associate Director, bringing enhanced expertise and a fresh perspective.
“I am excited to have returned to BSP Consulting in a new role, having spent many years at the company previously,” said Jo. “I now bring a slightly different perspective and wider expertise, which I am looking forward to using for the benefit of our clients.”
Jo will play a pivotal role in the continued development of BSP’s restructured transport planning team, working across the company’s Nottingham and Leicester offices.
Promotion from Within: Oliver McElroy’s Career Progression
Oliver McElroy, who joined BSP Consulting in November 2020, has been promoted to Associate following his impactful contributions as a Principal Engineer. Based in BSP’s Derby office, Oliver has been instrumental in advancing project delivery and the adoption of cutting-edge engineering software, including Civils3D.
