AEC digital solutions provider, Cadventure, has appointed former AECOM technical director Mike Clarke as its new Project Information Management Services Director.
Clarke brings over 30 years of global experience in supporting clients with their information management needs, having worked for names such as Halcrow, Scott Wilson URS Group, and most recently, AECOM.
He has a background in Civil Engineering and was one of the first to begin using CAD systems such as GDS, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
As Scott Wilson’s Global CADD Manager he was responsible for the advancement of global CAD standards and the development of both Autodesk and Bentley contracts.
In 2011, he began working on the multi award winning Stockholm Bypass where he was responsible for the development of the project information requirements plan and the mobilisation and maintenance of the Client’s Project CDE – ProjectWise.
Late in 2014, the Scott Wilson URS Group was acquired by AECOM where Clarke was given responsibility for the advancement of ProjectWise across the EMEA business.
In 2018, Mike and his team won the Global Bentley Year In Infrastructure Award in the Project Delivery category for their work in developing the strategic direction for ProjectWise Project Insights.
Clarke commented: “It’s important that people manage project information in the most effective way. Good process, well trained teams and appropriate technology configurations are paramount if projects are to deliver more efficiently, while at the same time reduce costs and the use of carbon.
“That’s why at Cadventure our mission is to ensure that our customers achieve Better Information Management through the adoption of technologies such as Bentley Systems ProjectWise and iTwin Services.
“AEC projects must manage infrastructure information much more effectively across the entire project lifecycle, if it is to reduce costs and the use of carbon, while at the same time improving the productivity of project stakeholders. This is an area that Cadventure is addressing with the development of its Project Information Management Services team.
“We will be implementing bespoke information management processes, Common Data Environment (CDE) technologies and offering hands-on training that will improve project outcomes for those involved with the design, construction, and operation of infrastructure assets.”
Elaine Lewis, Managing Director at Cadventure, added: “The speed with which the industry is digitally transforming is increasing rapidly, as new trends emerge and begin to completely reshape the way we work.
“With the appointment of Mike to head the Project Information Management Services team, this further cements our capabilities to support AEC clients in their information management needs.
“Mike’s blend of technical excellence and real-world worldwide project experience is a great asset to Cadventure and our clients.”
