Costain has revealed the appointment of Neil Crockett as an independent non-executive director.
The former chief digital officer (CDO) at Rolls-Royce will serve as a member of the Company’s audit, remuneration, and nomination committees from 6 October.
Crockett has held several global, European, and UK leadership positions with Cisco Systems; and during his time as CDO at Rolls-Royce (2016 to 2018) accelerated the development of the group’s digital strategy.
Crockett also has strong experience of the wider UK digital innovation community and was the founding CEO of Digital Catapult, a UK government-funded digital innovation organisation.
Crockett is also a member of the board of trustees and chair of the risk committee at Barnardo’s, and a non-executive director of Catalyst, a not-for-profit organisation accelerating innovation and growth in the Northern Ireland knowledge economy.
Crockett sits on the panel for the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise Innovation.
Commenting on Crockett’s appointment, chair Dr Paul Golby CBE said: “We are delighted that Neil is joining the board.
“He brings a passion and expertise in using digital innovation to lead engineering teams and organisations through rapid transformational change.”
