Kajima Group, one of Japan’s largest contractors, has selected ALICE Technologies‘ construction simulation and optimisation platform for use on some of its most critical projects.
ALICE Technologies’ platform helps contractors leverage the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to plan, bid, and build their large-scale infrastructure and commercial projects more efficiently and with reduced risk.
Kajima will use the platform to create thousands of potential construction schedule options for its projects, a task that, according to ALICE Technologies, is impossible using traditional scheduling tools.
Koji Sugimoto, managing executive officer of Kajima Corporation and managing director of Kajima Overseas Asia, said: “With ALICE, we will reimagine our approach to construction scheduling. The platform allows us to explore myriad possibilities and to experiment with ‘what-if analysis’ in a way that we’ve never been able to do before.
“Moreover, when we begin construction, it gives us the opportunity to tune our schedule mid-project if necessary to ensure we deliver as promised. Our adoption of ALICE is an example of Kajima’s enterprising spirit in action, and we are excited to put this innovative technology to work.”
René Morkos, ALICE Founder and CEO, said: “Kajima has a 180 year history of driving change in the construction industry.
“With its use of ALICE, it is leading innovation in the sector once again. The ALICE platform brings general contractors remarkable increases in the efficiency of their businesses while simultaneously reducing risk, and we are confident that Kajima will benefit significantly from the advantages that AI will bring.”
