Locusview, a provider of digital construction solutions for energy infrastructure, today unveiled its solution for electric utilities at DISTRIBUTECH 2022 – the leading annual electric power transmission and distribution conference taking place in Dallas this week.
The construction tech company, based in Israeli, says it can now help electric utilities expedite the collection and movement of high fidelity data from start to finish of planned long-cycle construction projects.
It says this enables highly accurate digital data capture and real-time integration into GIS, speeding ADMS updates & increasing grid reliability.
Sassi Idan, Chief Product Officer of Locusview, said: “Electric utilities manage construction differently than gas utilities and primarily work from detailed designs.
“With this release, Locusview provides support for the translation of complex GWD information to a format field crews can work with, enabling them to easily capture high-fidelity data and quickly integrate it directly into their systems of record such as GIS, ADMS, OMS, and WMS.”
Shahar Levi, Co-Founder and CEO of Locusview, added: “Utilities are expected to harden aging infrastructure to meet storm threats and perform undergrounding to protect against wildfires all while ensuring power quality and DER readiness in the face of intensifying cost pressures and scarcity of personnel.
“With Locusview, infrastructure construction projects are delivered faster with quicker closeouts and minimised rework, optimising capital investments, streamlining workflows, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.”
