He succeeds Dr Wei Yang OBE, who has served as deputy chair following her tenure as CIC chair.

Rawlinson, said: “I am delighted to have been appointed chair elect of the Construction Industry Council. Throughout my career, I have shared CIC’s commitment to professional excellence, collaboration and the collective advancement of the built environment. I strongly believe that CIC’s collaborative approach is essential to addressing the complex challenges facing our industry, and I look forward to working with colleagues across the sector to help move our agenda forward in a positive and inclusive way.”

CIC Chair Ian Brant added: “I would like to congratulate Simon on his new position as CIC deputy chair. I look forward to working closely with him to advance CIC’s strategic priorities in bringing built environment professions together for the public benefit.
