Workman LLP has expanded its building technology team with two new appointments to support its smart energy management system.
The company has appointed Chris Worsnop as senior smart buildings and data analyst, and Michael Makuchete as a smart buildings engineer.
Together, they bring Workman’s specialist IBOS team up to five, with more new appointments expected in the weeks ahead.
IBOS stands for Intelligent Building Operating System, which is currently installed in 97 buildings, covering some 9.2m square feet of commercial property. The company claims it has saved clients £6.5m on their energy bills to date, along with a saving of 31.2m kWh of energy, and prevented 3,400 tonnes of CO2e from entering the atmosphere.
With a wealth of ESG experience, Worsnop will lead on the development of the Workman Energy Hub, while using his data analytics expertise as part of the team delivering IBOS. He will support reporting across the company’s portfolio, with collection, utilisation, and reporting of data across building tech team, clients, and the wider business.
With a background in energy and building performance engineering, Makuchete brings proficiency in expert controls, and has begun to tour the firm’s IBOS portfolio.
