Stantec names new head of Digital for Water Services

Stantec UK has announced the appointment of Daniel Causley as head of Digital for Water Services.

In his new role, Causley will lead the development and delivery of digital services to water clients across the UK and Ireland.

He will work closely with Stantec’s leadership and technical teams to develop a UK digital strategy to align the business’s technological offering with the needs of its water clients.

Commenting on his appointment, Causley said: “This is an exciting time for our digital teams at Stantec as our clients and partners realise the benefits of accelerated and increased adoption of digital processes and transformation.

“It has been pleasing to see the significant impact technologies such as cloud computing, machine learning, AR/VR, computational and parametric design, blockchain, digital twins, IoT, and edge computing are having on project outcomes.

“I am proud to be leading a team that designs with community in mind and is committed to providing tech-enabled solutions that solve complex challenges for our water clients and our communities.”

Causely joined Stantec (formerly MWH) in 2002.

Most recently, he served as technical discipline lead for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation control, and automation engineering.

He also played a key role in Stantec’s digital steering group, which aims to bring innovation to the water industry using technology.

Tim Williams, director of Strategic Growth and Business Development, said: “Throughout his career at Stantec, Daniel has made significant contributions to the digital transformation of our work programmes, leading on a number of initiatives that utilise cutting-edge technology to add value, improve productivity, and realise efficiency and cost savings for our clients.

“He will bring a mix of insight, knowledge, and experience to this important role for Stantec, driving forward adoption of innovative digital processes and transformation.”
