The team at Ultrapanel Building Technologies have described how they feel “humbled” to be shortlisted for another prestigious industry award.

The innovative construction manufacturer has made the Best Offsite/Modular Innovation category at this year’s Building Innovation Awards.

The shortlisting comes just eight months after the launch of the efficient ‘room in the roof’ system, which has already won Best Brand New Product at the Housebuilder Product Awards and a Highly Commended in the Product Innovation category at the Offsite Awards.

Commenting about the reception to the system since launch, Ultrapanel managing director John Hough said: “For a product that was only launched in January, to already have enjoyed such success at a number of highly respected awards ceremonies is extremely humbling, and we are thrilled with this latest shortlisting for the Building Innovation Awards.

“We’ve received a remarkable response to the system since January, starting with fantastic feedback following our highly attended virtual launch ceremony.

“Since then, we have received a huge amount of interest in the system, and it is already being rolled out on sites across the country by some of the largest volume housebuilders in the UK.”

Ultrapanel says its accredited modern method of construction, manufactured off site and delivered as a flat-packed ‘room in the roof’ kit, is the most efficient end-to-end way to build.

Materials, manufacturing, and labour are optimised to deliver structural and thermal performance in a “lighter, simpler, and faster” building system.

Arriving palletised Ultrapanel is rapidly assembled and requires no heavy lifting equipment.

Ultrapanel says its short call-offs and responsive supply chain ensure that its ‘room in the roof’ delivers “significant” programme gains on busy sites.

The 2021 Building Innovation Awards will take place in Manchester on 4 November.
