Reds10 has appointed Ryan Geldard as chief executive and created a new group structure as it seeks to accelerate the industrialisation of construction.
The contractor confirmed the leadership changes form part of a wider restructure, bringing its vertically integrated operations and sister companies under a single group model.
Under the changes, founder and chairman Paul Ruddick becomes chief executive of Reds10 Group, overseeing nine businesses within the newly formed structure while retaining his role as chairman.
Geldard, previously managing director – offsite, steps into the role of Reds10 chief executive with responsibility for day-to-day operations.
The changes took effect at the start of April.
Ruddick said: “The creation of Reds10 Group marks an important milestone for our business. After a period of consolidation and significant investment in our manufacturing facilities and data platform, we are now driving the wholesale industrialisation of design, production and construction, with AI integrated at every stage. Bringing our family of businesses together under one group is a crucial step in that journey and provides a strong platform for continued growth.”
Reds10 specialises in modern methods of construction (MMC), delivering offsite-manufactured buildings primarily for the public sector, including defence, education, justice and health, alongside temporary accommodation and social housing.
The restructure follows a period of investment in manufacturing capacity and digital systems, with the business aiming to integrate artificial intelligence across its operations.
Geldard said: “It is incredibly exciting to take on the role of chief executive of Reds10, leading a talented and dedicated team as we accelerate our mission to industrialise construction. Our commitment to innovation ensures we remain at the forefront of transforming the construction industry. In recent years we’ve strengthened our position in defence, justice, and education, delivering sustainable, high-quality public sector buildings at pace, and are now expanding into health and affordable housing. I’m looking forward to leading Reds10 through this next phase of growth.”
The announcement follows reported revenue of £144.7m for 2024/25, with an operating margin of 4.8%. The business has set a target to grow revenue to £500m, alongside expansion into healthcare, affordable housing and temporary accommodation.
Reds10 manufactures its buildings at its facility in Driffield, East Yorkshire, which comprises five factories totalling 300,000 sq ft.
