ONLINE MICRO-CONFERENCES FOR BUILDING PROFESSIONALS

What is a Micro-conference?
A micro-conference is a small scale conference that allows professionals to present and discuss their work. They provide a channel for the exchange of nascent ideas and an opportunity for collaboration.
The events are hosted online and delivered within a 2 hour window to minimise the impact on your working day, while giving attendees an incisive conference session and the opportunity to network and workshop with speakers and other attendees in the breakout rooms.
Building professionals and members of BuildinDigital.com are able to attend for FREE.

Automating offsite construction
Construction has traditionally lagged far behind other industries in its adoption of automation and robotics technologies. However, the rise of offsite construction is opening up new opportunities for robotics to automate the housebuilding process – taking on the strenuous and repetitive tasks that no one else wants to do.
In this session, industry experts will explore practical, affordable ways that housebuilders can introduce automation technologies into their offsite factories – filling labour and skills shortages, boosting productivity and ultimately delivering the homes we need.
Three keynote speakers will be announced for this conference.
Digital tools:
Understanding, measuring and cutting carbon on projects
The built environment is responsible for 40% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions. However, according to RICS’ 2022 Sustainability Report, only 24% of construction projects measure operational carbon and less than half measure embodied carbon. Without this data, cutting carbon on projects is impossible.
In this session, industry experts discuss the carbon challenge and practical tools that contractors can adopt to measure and reduce the operational and embodied carbon footprint of their projects.
Three keynote speakers will be announced for this conference.
