After a successful preview in March 2024, PlanRadar has announced the official launch of SiteView, its new 360-degree reality capture feature.

The company says its SiteView feature empowers users to capture 360-degree imagery of construction projects simply by walking the site with a camera attached to a helmet. Images are automatically mapped onto a 2D plan.

The new functionality is said to enhance progress reporting, quality inspections, as-built documentation, and other visual recording needs.

According to PlanRadar, it enables users to:

  • Efficiently capture accurate visual documentation by simply walking the construction site
  • View the site remotely, enabling quicker and more accessible stakeholder reviews
  • Reduce rework for a high-quality build by comparing progress over time and exploring “behind-the-wall” views
  • Enhance task management and communication by pinning tickets directly on 360-degree images
