Glider appoints new CEO and CRO

by BiD Admin

Leading asset information management provider, Glider, announces major leadership appointments to drive international growth and digital transformation in the built environment.

Glider, a trusted innovator in asset information management and digital handover solutions for the built environment, has unveiled two strategic executive appointments designed to turbocharge its next phase of growth. Industry veteran Jayne Archbold has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Partner, while seasoned commercial leader Richard Farnworth steps in as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).

These appointments follow Glider’s significant acquisitions of EDocuments in 2024 and Sitedesk in early 2025, reinforcing its commitment to leading digital transformation across construction, infrastructure, and real estate sectors.

A proven leader to scale smart building technology

Jayne Archbold brings over three decades of senior leadership experience in the international software industry, having held CEO roles at Sage’s mid-market European division and at global tech firms GENII and Iptor. Her expertise in scaling fast-growth businesses in the SaaS space will be pivotal in Glider’s mission to deliver intelligent estate management solutions at scale.

“Glider is uniquely positioned to set the standard for intelligent estate management,” said Jayne Archbold. “With a talented team, cutting-edge platform and increasing global demand for smart building information management, we have the opportunity to create real impact—empowering clients with complete asset intelligence that drives value, efficiency and sustainability.”

Driving commercial strategy in the built environment technology market

Joining her is Richard Farnworth as CRO, bringing extensive experience leading sales, marketing, and customer success in high-growth software companies, including Oracle, Axway, GENII, and Iptor. At Glider, Richard will focus on scaling the commercial operations and strengthening customer relationships across the UK and international markets.

“Glider transforms fragmented building data into actionable asset intelligence—enabling smarter decision-making, compliance confidence and sustainable operations,” said Richard. “I’m excited to help our clients unlock greater value from their estates while accelerating Glider’s growth as a leader in built environment digitalisation.”

Strategic leadership continuity with founding vision

Glider’s co-founder and former CEO Nick Hutchinson will continue with the business as Founder and Managing Partner. He will work closely with Jayne to support the executive transition while continuing to champion Glider’s commitment to smart digital practices across the building lifecycle.

“This is a transformational moment for Glider,” said Nick. “Having taken the business from startup to industry trailblazer, I’m thrilled to welcome Jayne and Richard—two highly experienced leaders who will help us scale our impact globally.”

Why this matters for the construction and real estate industry

As the built environment evolves in response to climate challenges, regulatory pressures, and the shift toward smarter operations, the need for intelligent asset information management systems has never been greater. Glider’s platform empowers building owners, operators, and estates teams with the tools to:

  • Deliver digital handovers with confidence
  • Manage estate-wide asset information efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with building safety regulations
  • Enable data-driven facilities and lifecycle planning
  • Drive sustainable property operations using asset intelligence

With new executive leadership and a rapidly growing product portfolio, Glider is poised to lead the way in smart building information solutions, helping organisations unlock long-term value from every asset across their estate.
