Digital construction teams gain 360 capture, transforming field data into coordinated 3D decision workflows.
Cintoo has introduced 360 Edition, enabling Ricoh-native 360-degree video walkthroughs to operate directly inside professional 3D workflows for the digital construction sector. The platform converts immersive 360 recordings into navigable spatial datasets, supporting faster field-to-cloud visualisation and improved decision-making across complex construction and industrial projects.
The solution synchronises 360-degree video, laser scans, and BIM or CAD models inside one interactive environment, removing reliance on disconnected viewers or split-screen analysis.
Unlimited automated camera path processing, manual alignment tools, and Gaussian Splats rendering allow teams to view panoramic imagery alongside accurate 3D data. Users can also apply annotations, crops, and measurements within the same environment, strengthening coordination across project teams.
Field-to-cloud workflows accelerate multi-site project decisions
360 Edition introduces an automated field-to-cloud pipeline, reducing manual data preparation and accelerating access to usable site intelligence. Brownfield inspections, equipment tagging, job-site monitoring, and pre-scan preparation become accessible to wider project teams without specialist scanning expertise.
Asset owners and operators managing multi-site portfolios benefit from a flexible alternative or complement to conventional laser scanning workflows. Lightweight capture using RICOH 360 cameras enables rapid data acquisition while maintaining compatibility with existing BIM, CAD, and reality capture workflows, supporting operational visibility across construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure projects.
Leadership perspectives on connected 3D environments
“The 360 Edition bridges the simplicity of using lightweight 360 cameras with the precision of a full 3D workflow,” explained Dominique Pouliquen, CEO of Cintoo. “By bringing Ricoh 360 data, scan data and design models together in one integrated 3D environment, we’re enabling broader teams to adopt advanced 3D workflows without added complexity.”
“We are pleased to collaborate with Cintoo to deliver 360 Edition,” added Akio Inaba, President of RICOH Futures EMEA and Head of Smart Vision Business Center at RICOH. “By converting real-world site data into actionable digital assets, the solution supports operational decisions, workflow optimisation, and long-term knowledge accumulation, embedding 360 data within customers’ operational processes.”
360 Edition enables scalable, cost-efficient reality capture adoption, helping digital construction stakeholders integrate continuous site intelligence, improve collaboration, and strengthen long-term infrastructure, asset, and operations management globally.
