Connect Modular, part of modular construction solutions firm The Wee House Group, has delivered the first of six amenity blocks to the Clinterty Travelling Persons site in Aberdeen.

The amenity blocks will provide services to travellers such as kitchens, bathrooms, and store facilities.

They were manufactured at Connect Modular’s factory in Cumnock, Ayrshire, and transported to the site on flatbed trucks.

The blocks were then lifted into place using a crane and connected to the site’s utilities.

The £5.45m project is jointly supported by Aberdeen City Council and The Scottish Government Gypsy/Traveller Accommodation Fund.

It is being delivered by Aberdeen City Council, MTM Construction, and Connect Modular, who are constructing the amenity blocks serving 21 pitches.

The amenity block will serve a total of 21 pitches

Richard Reid, acting CEO at Connect Modular, said: “We’re delighted to have delivered the first six amenity blocks to site.

“We look forward to the continued delivery of these blocks over the coming weeks and months and share excitement for the local area, seeing the amenity blocks craned into position, almost ready for use.”

Connect Modular, part of The Wee House Group, is a manufacturer of modular (a type of MMC) housing based in Cumnock, east Ayrshire.

The firm specialises in the provision of affordable modular homes for housing associations and local councils.
