Barratt London has unveiled a new leadership team to spearhead its strategic direction and growth across the capital, with three key senior appointments underlining the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable and high-quality homes for London’s communities.
Following the merger of Barratt Developments plc and Redrow plc, the company has confirmed that Craig Carson has been promoted to Regional Director for Barratt London, overseeing both its East and West London divisions. Joining him on the leadership team are Paul Muldowney, appointed as Managing Director for West London, and Danny Masters, promoted to Operations Director for East London. Together, they form a strong and experienced team under the leadership of Mark Bailey, Regional Managing Director for London and Southern at Barratt Redrow.
London’s future growth
In his new role, Craig Carson will provide overarching strategic direction for Barratt London, ensuring the delivery of major residential-led, mixed-use developments across the capital. With more than 25 years of experience in the sector, Carson has established a strong reputation for guiding complex projects from site acquisition through to completion. His leadership will focus on long-term sustainable growth, operational excellence and enhancing the customer experience.
Heading up Barratt London’s West London division, Paul Muldowney brings nearly four decades of experience in housebuilding and urban regeneration. Having previously served as a senior leader at Redrow London, Muldowney’s appointment will ensure a seamless integration of expertise following the merger. His role will involve shaping the division’s strategic priorities, overseeing major regeneration schemes, and driving forward Barratt London’s vision for high-quality urban development.
On the East London side of the business, Danny Masters’ promotion to Operations Director marks a significant example of internal progression within Barratt London. Joining the company in 2002 as an Assistant Site Manager, Masters has steadily advanced through the ranks, demonstrating consistent leadership and operational skill. Having served as Project Director and board member for the West London division, he now takes on a wider remit to lead operational delivery in East London, with a continued focus on innovation, safety, and sustainability.
A renewed commitment to sustainable development
These appointments reinforce Barratt London’s position as a leading developer in the capital and highlight the company’s dedication to investing in people, sustainable building practices, and the regeneration of London’s neighbourhoods.
Barratt London, part of Barratt Redrow plc, remains at the forefront of sustainable housing delivery in the UK. Earlier this year, the company announced its Lo-E Homes initiative, an ambitious plan to deliver energy-efficient homes that exceed Passivhaus standards. Working in partnership with Places for London, Barratt London will develop over 728 homes at High Barnet and Bollo Lane, one of the largest Passivhaus projects in the country.
These sustainable new homes are designed to support London’s transition towards net zero, lowering energy use and carbon emissions while improving comfort and affordability for residents.
Driving quality and innovation across London’s built environment
Commenting on the appointments, Mark Bailey said: “The appointment of our new leadership team will bring fresh perspectives and proven expertise to accelerate our strategic growth and impact in London. Under Craig’s stewardship, they will work collaboratively to regenerate places, deliver energy-efficient homes and build neighbourhoods that create socio-economic value for London.”
